Developer
Location: Head Office, West Bromwich, B70 8AF (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £46,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SQL Developer to join our established team here in Data Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the reigns and perform a range of tasks involved in the internal development of the Society's applications.
Key responsibilities:
- You will be joining the team of Developers who provide bespoke solutions, that interface with our core banking system (UFSS), as well as supporting the existing code base
- You will be working with our main third party supplier Unisys on new solutions, support issues and the implementation of future upgrades
- Working towards agreed deadlines and provide accurate recording against projects and present figures in weekly submissions
- Developing solutions to site standards
- Ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements
Key skills and experience:

The role requires specific coding skills, namely:
- SQL
- PLSQL
- XML
- VBscripting
- Powershell
- VB.Net
- Code tuning and support of live applications.
- Good communications skills, both oral, and written.
- Ideally at least 2 years’ experience within a relevant role, coding SQL.
- Ability to lead/structure work being undertaken by junior members of staff.
- Time/Work load management.
- Knowledge of Unisys platform UFSS would be a definite advantage.
