Position Overview:

  • The Sports VOD Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the successful and timely fulfilment of Sports content to affiliate VOD platforms.

  • The Sports VOD Operations Coordinator is required to use a variety of different systems and interfaces to manage and track content through transcode and delivery.

  • This role acts as a point of contact for external VOD partners, so a high level of communication is required to ensure optimum service is provided to affiliates.

  • This is also a troubleshooting role, working both independently and with support teams and engineers to find solutions for issues affecting delivery of VOD content to platforms.

Your Responsibilities...

  • Detailed tracking of sports VOD asset delivery through WBD internal processing through to the affiliate platform.
  • Troubleshooting failed deliveries.
  • Liaising with ingest and support teams in order to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Chasing missing thumbnails and metadata with relevant teams.
  • Some spot checking of video files where issues are reported, or for high profile events.
  • Being the main POC for affiliates, responding to any queries and issues they raise regarding late or faulty content.
  • Escalating system / workflow issues to relevant technical teams.
  • Look for possible patterns and or areas of improvement.
  • Staying abreast of system updates and workflow changes.
  • Ensure detailed shift handover among colleagues.

Requirements...

• Attention to detail essential.

  • Excellent listening and communications skills a must.
  • Proven ability to learn new systems and workflows quickly and to work across multiple applications on a daily basis.
  • Experience in broadcast and media ingest workflows.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage own workload
  • Adaptable and flexible in an environment where the technology changes rapidly
  • Calm and professional in high pressured situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Some experience working in VOD / Digital Media preferred.
  • A good sporting knowledge will be an advantage.
  • This role is shift based requiring some flexibility with working hours.
