Do you want a career in fitness? We are looking for full-time sports officers to join the sport team, working in our Medway Council sports centres.

We need candidates who will take pride in delivering an excellent service to our customers.

The successful candidates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an interest and aptitude for delivering high-quality sports programmes
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service at all times
  • Make sure swimming pool users are safe at all times
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the centre
  • Deal sympathetically with customer queries, comments and complaints
  • Demonstrate high standards of work and be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Have the ability to swim

Qualifications gained in this role will include:

  • Level 2 certificate in fitness instructing
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
  • Level 1 coaching qualification
  • Level 1 swimming instruction qualification
