ShareWe are looking for a part-time Sports Assistant to work as part of our Operations Team.
As a Sports Assistant you will play a vital role within our Sports Training Village, carrying out the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the sports facilities and associated areas, so that we can provide activities, services and facilities for students, university staff, the local community and high-performance athletes.
This role will predominantly be to lifeguard our swimming pools, but you will also be trained in all dry-side elements of the facility to assist with the day to day operation of our Sports Facilities.
A typical day:
- Lifeguarding
- Setting up indoor and outdoor activities
- Setting up events
- Assisting with general enquiries from customers
- Responding to ad-hoc requests for support
You will also be involved in ensuring cleanliness, health & safety and emergency procedures for which full training is provided.
This is a great position to learn and develop basic skills within a sporting environment where you will get to work alongside high performance athletes, many of whom compete in the Summer and Winter Olympics.
About you:
You will need good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

This role requires a basic DBS check which we would organise for you and we will support you with all the training you need to thrive in this inspiring environment.

You will be required to work 15 hours per week, on an all year round contract. Working hours will be:
- Monday 17:15 - 22:15
- Thursday 17:15 - 22:15
- Saturday 14:15 - 19:15
