Job Purpose
We are a busy multi-purpose Sports Academy with a Sports Hall that is used for an extensive range of sports & disability sports. We have a gym open to the public 7 days a week & we have private spaces available for booking by external trainers or therapists.
We require a confident presence on our busy reception who can respond to the constant needs of our varied customer base & your peers.
You will be working alongside Sports Leaders & a Senior Management Team within the Academy & we work alongside Greenbank College so there will be opportunity to manage volunteers & students that will help with the running of the Academy.
We are looking for two permanent members of staff to cover two shift patterns exclusively:
Evenings between 15:30-22:30
Weekends between 08:00-18:00
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Sports Academy Receptionist is to provide all users of the Sports Academy with a central point of contact via telephone, email & face to face.
You responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
- Follow an Open & Close procedure for the Academy
- Deal with enquiries via all forms of communication. Email, telephone & face to face
- Assist the gym members with signing in & out of the gym & issuing locker keys
- Handling cash & maintaining administrative, financial & statistical information
- Schedule gym inductions & tours of the facility
- Assist Sports Hall users with access & bookings
- Liaise with Sports Leaders to ensure Sports Hall users have the correct equipment set up & is accessible.
- Assist with the management of large events where working as part of the wider team is essential
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills that can work with various IT systems & Microsoft Applications.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service & experience within a leisure facility would be desirable but not essential.
