Job Title: Band 5 Operational Department Practitioner
Location: Hammersmith Salary Range: £34,000 - £41,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Band 5 Operational Department Practitioner to join our client in Hammersmith. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance during surgical procedures and ensuring the smooth running of the operating department. You will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care and ensure efficient operation of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the operating theatre and equipment.
- Support the surgical team during procedures by providing instruments and supplies.
- Monitor patient vital signs, assist with positioning, and handle specimens.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment, following infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient patient flow and resource utilization.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Contribute to quality improvement and participate in training and development.
Requirements:
- Operational Department Practitioner qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a surgical setting.
- HCPC Registration Needed.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
