Job description
You will work within the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy service to support children with a wide range of speech, language and communication problems including those with formal Additional Support for Learning plans. You will be based in Perth & Kinross but will be required to work flexibly across NHS Tayside in schools and community settings as well as in health settings. You must be willing to travel between a number of sites.
You will bring knowledge and skills in working with young children and an understanding of disability and how to support children with additional needs and their families. You will also be working in universal and targeted models to support attainment in nurseries and schools. The work is wide ranging and includes joint work with partners in other agencies. You will join a supportive team where professional development is supported and encouraged. All newly qualified therapists are supported to complete the Flying Start programme.
