Job description

This role is a full-time locum position in the NHS in a Cambridge inpatient service; it offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust is seeking an enthusiastic specialty doctor in Old Age Psychiatry to work Monday to Friday. Your core responsibilities would be to help assess, diagnose, and oversee the mental health of patients in your care.

The successful will assist Consultants with patient reviews, new admissions, ward work, and ward rounds. The postholder will be working in an MDT context and with doctors in training.

Position: Specialty Doctor in Old Age Psychiatry

Hours: This position is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week

Setting: Inpatient

Location: Cambridge

Dates: This position is available for an initial 3-month period.

Requirements:

  • You must have a full GMC licence to practice
  • Relevant previous experience working in this type of position
  • Section 12 approval is essential
  • Approved clinician status is desired but not essential
