An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurodisability to make a lasting difference to children with brain injury and neuro-disability. You will gain unique experience in Paediatrics, Neurorehabilitation and management of Neuro-disability. Previous experience in Paediatric Neurodisability is not required.

You will have the opportunity to develop and implement your expertise in an environment that is as unusual in its beautiful historic nature, as it is unique in its state-of-the-art facilities.

As a Specialty Doctor, you will be a key member of the Medical Team, providing clinical care for children with brain injury and neurodisability across The Children’s Trust. You will assess new children under supervision, identify clinical risks, write medical reports, and provide regular medical support. You will receive support from Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability, Consultant Paediatricians and Senior Specialty Doctors in Paediatric Neurodisability.

Working hours are 9am - 5pm daily, with no obligatory Out of Hours cover.

Role Requirements

To succeed in this high profile and diverse role, you must demonstrate:

• Full professional GMC registration and licence to practice and an MBBS or equivalent.
• Strong clinical skills, combined with excellent child and family focussed interpersonal skills.
• A caring, supportive and can-do approach.
• Willingness to take study leave, and commitment to receive training in Paediatrics, Neuro-disability and Neurorehabilitation.

About Us

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

NHS Covid Pass
