Job description
Are you a veterinary surgeon with a keen interest in and passion for a specific area of veterinary medicine?
The Ralph is an independent multidisciplinary specialist referral centre in the southeast of England. We have several Speciality Veterinary Internships available starting Summer 2023! You will join our large team with a busy referral caseload and excellent facilities.
We are currently recruiting Speciality Veterinary Interns in the following disciplines to start in Summer 2023:
- Anaesthesia and Analgesia
- Cardiology*
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Emergency and Critical Care
- Internal Medicine
- Neurology/Neurosurgery
- Oncology
- Ophthalmology
- Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery
All our clinical services are Diplomate-led. Despite being a young hospital, many of our services are already approved to offer residencies. We expect others to be approved in 2023. In addition, there are increasing opportunities for clinical research. You will be well-supported from within your service and by our Resident & Vet Intern Support Officers.
(* Our Cardiology internship at The Ralph is run by Specialist Veterinary Cardiology Consultancy (SVCC).)
Marlow:
Marlow is located on the River Thames between Henley and Windsor. This is a beautiful area with lovely walks, water-based activities and more. Our hospital is just off the A404 with easy access from the M4 and M40 motorways and close to London. Marlow is conveniently located only 25 minutes from Heathrow airport, 45 minutes from Luton Airport and one hour from Gatwick or Stansted airport. This makes it very convenient for commuting without relocating, for weekend getaways or for our European colleagues to ‘pop back’ to their home countries to visit family.
#bemoreralph:
The Ralph is a workplace that focuses on core values, culture, vision and mission. We emphasise kindness, compassion and empathy for all our communities. As an independent hospital, we have the freedom and flexibility to chart our own course. If you want to know more, we would love to hear from you.
To Apply:
Please email [email protected] (PA to Shailen Jasani; Founder, CEO & Clinical Director) to apply or with any questions.
Applications should include an up-to-date CV, a cover letter and which role you are applying for.
You must be an MRCVS, and ideally, you will already be eligible to work in the United Kingdom. However, we can provide visa sponsorship if time allows.
Internships last twelve months, and we may extend them by mutual agreement.
The closing date for applications is Friday 17th February 2023.
