Specialist Trainer (REMOTE)

Are you passionate about creating engaging, innovative, and insightful learning interactions and determined to deliver to a high standard and provide an exceptional learning experience for learners on the Accountancy programme?
At Babington we pride ourselves on the delivery of exceptional training programmes nationally and are looking for a Specialist Trainer to plan and deliver our Accountancy L7 programme and share their expertise and experiences with cohorts of motivated and engaged learners. In this role you will be working collaboratively with an experienced Skills Coach to ensure all learner outcomes are achieved and be a trusted partner to employers providing pastoral support and advice and help learners achieved.

Summary of role
Create inspirational, immersive, and impactful learning interactions, for our Apprenticeship programmes in line with Babington’s learning journey blueprint, providing a memorable customer experience. Creating and maintaining cohesive and communicative relationships with learners and clients and provide academic and professional pastoral advice, guidance, and support, ensuring a safe and conducive working environment.

  • Act as a subject matter specialist, supporting and contributing to the development and delivery of high impact, innovative training programmes in line with Babington’s learner journey blueprint.
  • Adopt effective learning management methodologies to provide inspirational and innovative learning interactions and experiences with learners.
  • Promote and embed Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent and Health and Safety to all learning sessions.
  • To communicate any issues or concerns about learners to your line manager and designated Safeguarding Officer as appropriate.
  • Provide inspirational specialist support and guidance to learners throughout their learning journey, helping them to progress, achieve and reach their potential.
  • Adapt Babington’s learning journey blueprint (where required) to fulfil the requirements of our clients, learners and stakeholders which enrich compliment the customer experience.
  • Work with the Skills Coach to ensure learner outcomes are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Effectively use assessment for learning techniques to check learners’ understanding and build on existing knowledge.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated sessions, embedding Maths and English, that ensure active participation and learning leading to positive learning outcomes.
  • Manage and facilitate interactive and engaging remote learning interactions, including self-directed research, digital learning, webinars, forums and chat sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Experience Team to implement a high-quality learning experience, whilst fulfilling Awarding Organisations and Inspectorate expectations.
Brief person specification
Essential Qualifications
  • Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Level 4 AAT qualification
Skills and experience
  • Experience of providing interactive and engaging training and development opportunities to adults
  • Experience of developing individualised learning plans and SMART targets
  • Experience of developing immersive schemes of work
  • Experience of working with people to help to remove barriers and support progression into employment, education, or training
  • Experience of successfully achieving deadlines and working without close supervision.
  • Experience of working in an accredited teaching / training environment, industry or practice.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Understanding of current Apprenticeship procedures and regulations, manual and computerised processes to enable effective and successful delivery of learning programmes knowledge, skills and behaviours relevant to the course
