The challenge

Drive audience growth for McLaren Shadow, the gaming sub-brand to McLaren Racing through exceptional content and social campaigns. This role will work within the Gaming and esports department to ensure it activates all partnerships through a content and social lens, leverages influencer relationship, while leveraging key moments throughout the year from a gaming and content perspective.


Your Team


This role will report into the Head of Gaming and esports and sit alongside three other members of the Gaming and esports team. The role will be located in Woking, UK at McLaren’s global headquarters. There will be a requirement for nontraditional hours and roughly travel roughly 20-30% of the time.


Your day-to-day


You’ll spend your time:

Content Creation & strategy

  • Lead the McLaren gaming content development working with external production, agencies and creators/ players to build out impactful concepts
  • Manage a Sr Executive, content and social to schedule and program content release in order to build community
  • Maintain a finger on the pulse of what the community care about to ensure content resonates with audience and drives growth while staying on brand
  • Work alongside partners to understand their objectives and develop creative content concepts which support their goals while driving engagement and audience growth for Shadow

Partnership Management

  • Support in management of our esports and gaming Partners to ensure they are kept abreast of developments and wired into the platform commensurate with their rights. A key part of the role will be ensuring alignment in content, social media and communications calendars.
  • Develop a deep understanding of partner’s business strategies, objectives, target growth markets, competitors and KPI’s / metrics that resonate when evaluating success
  • Support in the development and delivery of the partner’s 360 activation plans to ensure that the partner’s rights are maximized to achieve their objectives and KPIs within the gaming and esports space
  • Be pro-active in initiatives that could strengthen the value of the partnership and pitch upsell opportunities to partners
  • Work across the race series to facilitate bringing existing physical race series partners into the gaming and esports space

Operations

  • Serve as a key liaison between third party delivering content slate for the year – managing ideation through to production and publishing
  • Support on the ground event and content execution managing internal stakeholders and comms around activities
  • Deliver strong reporting and management of finance trails around all activities
  • Demonstrate ability to lead people and manage Sr Executive
  • Manage Shadow content calendar and social community in line with key internal stakeholders


Your Story
