The Role

The Maternity Digital Lead will be an effective ambassador for the board, be credible and knowledgeable with the confidence and interpersonal skills to work with clinical, managerial and support staff at all levels across maternity services and the wider organisation. The post holder will have expertise in maternity digital programs and processes and have a proactive ‘can do’ approach, be highly motivated and confident in managing challenging and changing workloads. The post holder will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will bring a strong customer service approach to their role and be able to facilitate change with the Maternity Services.

What we'll need you to bring

  • Registered Midwife on Part 10 of the NMC Register or Registered Nurse Part 1 of the NMC Register
  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
  • Service development experience delivering clinical quality improvements and successful service change.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven leadership portfolio.
  • A complete understanding of General Data Protection Regulation, Caldicott Principles and the Freedom of Information Act as well as Scottish Governments Record Management for Health and Social Care Code of Practice.
  • Good understanding of digital systems and advances to develop and manage patient records.
  • The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet demand
