Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Student (Health Visiting and School Nursing)
In Dorset we have a proven record of successfully training Health Visitors. Dorset is a beautiful county offering experience of working in rural as well as urban areas. Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust (DHC) has close ties with Bournemouth University and has gained an excellent reputation in the training of 0-19yrs Specialist Community Public Health Nurses -all of whom have acquired jobs in the NHS following completion of their course.
We have the opportunity to offer Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Health Visiting training. The successful candidates will be appointed to a one-year, fixed term training post at Band 5, (negotiation of salary may be considered based on relevant experience relating to the person specification. The programme comprises 50% practical learning in a Health Visiting team within the county of Dorset and 50% academic studies. Students will be fully supported in clinical practice by a qualified Practice Assessor and a Practice Supervisor.

Entry requirements:
You must be currently registered as a Nurse or Midwife to apply.
Postgraduate Study (PGDip)
‘The standard entry requirement of a postgraduate taught programme is a UK Bachelor Honours Degree or overseas equivalent.
