A special primary day school we supply to in Tile Cross, Birmingham requires hardworking, enthusiastic temporary SEN Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with a diverse range of learning needs. All children have a statement of special educational needs or an Education Health & Care Plan.
Job Description
The successful SEN Teaching Assistants will:
- Enable each child to achieve their full potential through equality of opportunity in an exciting, inspiring environment
- Promote communication skills so that pupils can access their learning in a way personalised to their needs
- Be an excellent team player and role model and be able to work collaboratively with all school staff
- Have a nurturing and holistic approach to teaching & learning
Requirements
The successful SEN Teaching Assistants must:
- Have a minimum of Level 2 or 3 in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or the equivalent
- Have experience and knowledge of working with pupils with SEN and a willingness to learn more
- Have/acquire an enhanced DBS and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and have a legal right to work in this country
- Have acceptable reference checks from previous employers or educational institutions
- Short listed candidates will be subject to Teacher Regulation Agency checks & an online search, as part of Ambassadors Resourcing Safer Recruitment checks
