Position Overview:
Derby Language School are seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish Tutor to join our team. As a Spanish Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality language instruction to private students primarily in the evenings. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the language learning journey of our students. All of the classes are 1 to 1 or small groups (2 to 4 students).
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective Spanish lessons to students based on their individual needs and proficiency levels.
- Create engaging and interactive learning activities to enhance students' language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their language proficiency.
- Develop personalized lesson plans and materials tailored to students' learning objectives and interests.
- Incorporate relevant cultural elements into lessons to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of Spanish culture.
- Stay up to date with current teaching methodologies and language learning resources to continuously enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other tutors and staff members to contribute to the overall growth and success of the language school.
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish.
- Previous experience teaching Spanish as a second language to students of various proficiency levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish a rapport with students and create a supportive learning environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage lesson planning, student records, and administrative tasks.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evening classes and varying student availability.
- Creativity in designing engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for teaching and helping students achieve their language learning goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4-10 per week
Salary: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
Schedule:
