Are you an ambitious professional Sous Chef with people management experience and a passion for food? Our client is on lookout for a highly-skilled Sous Chef who can excel in a fast-paced kitchen environment while nurturing and mentoring the team of chefs and kitchen porters.
As a vital part of the kitchen team, you'll work alongside the Head Chef to ensure that the restaurant & events deliver exceptional guest experiences through high-quality and consistent dishes. This is your chance to shine showcasing your skills in catering for meetings and events.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing food preparation and delegating tasks
- Ensuring high-quality, consistent dishes
- Implementing and following company menus and specifications
- Managing food purchasing and budgeting
- Conducting regular audits and stock checks
- Identifying team development opportunities and providing training
- Managing schedules and team holidays
- Assisting the Head Chef with hiring, managing, and training kitchen staff
- Standing in for the Head Chef when needed
