You will receive a salary of £30,000 - £34,000 per annumPLUS a share of tips, giving you the opportunity to earn more.

Full Time hours are on offer - Ideally you will be flexible to work a mixture of weekends and weekdays on a shift rota of 5 days out of 7.

As the Sous Chef you work closely with the Head Chef and have a big impact on the creation, planning and production of our excellent quality British Country House cuisine for all the Hotel’s food & beverage outlets, which include our restaurant, tea rooms and all other banqueting requirements.

You will monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas of food service and during all stages of production and supply, having accountability for the day to day running of the kitchen service in the absence of the Head Chef.

Due to the demands of this role, you will need to have all-round experience working in hotel kitchens, with leadership skills in order to guide and train our junior kitchen staff.

Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa is a 4 Star Country House situated alongside the Snowdonia National Park. We are overlooking the iconic Lake Vyrnwy and forms part of the 24,000-acre RSPB reserve attracting visitors from all over the world who come to simply relax or to sample a wide variety of outdoor activities.

Please note, due to the remoteness, you will need consider travelling to and from our hotel. The nearest locations in easy commute are Llanfyllin, Welshpool and Oswestry. We also offer shared live-in accommodation for full time staff, at a rate of £60.90 per week, per person. Including 3 meals a day, and no energy costs!
