About the Role
We are looking for
a Sous Chef to join our team here at Butlin’s Bognor Regis. We truly believe
that variety is the spice of life and in this role you’ll have the opportunity
to lead and develop the skills of a team in our Firehouse Grill restaurant on resort. A Butlin’s resort
is the home of getting stuck in for one of our guest's favourite places to eat, the Firehouse Grill, great for all things chicken! You will be supporting the development of the team of chefs and kitchen porters to consistently delivery our food in line with brand standards and dish specifications, managing margins and controlling food costs alongside day-to-day kitchen management, rostering and labour control. Keeping our guests safe with hygiene, health and safety compliance in the kitchen as well as building effective working relationships across other venues and departments on resort.
About You
You should be hard
working and determined, a reliable person who likes to get things done and
who will look for better ways for the team to consistently deliver our brand standards. You should be energetic and enthusiastic, high spirited and fun
loving and who will understand their role and the value they can add to the
guest experience by unleashing the potential of the team. We think our chefs
at Butlin’s are something special and we know our guests love to keep returning
to our restaurants as part of their holiday experience so the cherry on the top
for the successful candidate is for them to be fun, keen to join in and work as part
of a team, and is interested
in ensuring our guests have a great time, every
time. Should should be able to demonstrate previous hands-on
experience in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Typical working hours: working 40 hours per week, five days over seven. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily therefore shift times may vary. This is a permanent salaried role (paid monthly) and is part of a 5% bonus scheme too.
