Job Summary

We provide the video streaming platform for some of the world’s leading Broadcasters, Telcos, Operators and content rights holders. Our Professional Services Solutions Architects primary responsibility is to bridge our SAAS solution with our customer’s requirements, systems and partners. As such the role requires broad technical expertise as well as analytical, design and communication skills.

About the role

• Be the champion and technical authority of our customer. Understand their vision and articulate how they can best leverage our solutions.
• Produce quality designs & specification and communicate these to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Take ownership of your solutions and collaborate to see them through the full lifecycle.
• Evaluate, experiment, compare and prototype different approaches, technologies, and solution designs. Keep an open mind.
• Keep learning by staying up to date with technology and media industry developments.
• Share your knowledge through mentoring, training and brown-bag sessions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our agile methodology, knowledge base, and tools.
• Assist pre-sales with estimates, proposals and high-level architectures.

About you

The Solutions Architect is a broad, generalist role and can come from different backgrounds. We have deeply technical team members as well individuals with more of a business requirement focus. We view this as a strength that gives us a broader perspective. Our solutions architects strengths and experiences lie in the following areas:

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership for the success of projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and team player
• Articulate solutions through diagrams/models/abstractions
• Building cloud-native solutions and/or utilizing a SAAS platform
• Designing complex integrations, especially with REST based web services
• Experience with some of the technologies we make use of: Node.js, Java, Spring(Boot), Scala, React, Redux, AWS, virtualization in general and especially Docker and its eco system, Git, NoSQL products and concepts (Dynamo, column family, etc)
• Exposure to at least one of main programming languages Python, Java or C# .Net

Desirable skills/experiences

• Demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect in an enterprise environment
• Working with systems handling high numbers of transactions with low latency requirements
• Web application architectures
• Agile development practices and how architecture fits in
• Working with a SAAS-based solutions
• Delivering media solutions

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
