Are you a Solutions Architect who is passionate about telling stories through technology architecture and design?
Due to increased client activity and exciting new opportunities for growth in our Tech team, Kantar Profiles is hiring a Solutions Architect to architect and design end to end scalable and creative technology solutions, frameworks, and tools from business initiation to implementation. Working collaboratively with a wide variety of team members.
What you will do!
- Architect and design scalable and innovative technology solutions, frameworks and tools from the business initiation phase to implementation phase by collaborating team members ranging from trainee engineers to CXOs.
- Assess the as-is solution and suggest target solution architectures applying your expertise in Data & Analytics tools, Cloud technologies and microservices architecture patterns
- Build product roadmaps for our clients, planning the delivery of features and user stories using DevOps methodology
- Lead the technical delivery of programmes; working alongside diverse teams of engineers & developers, potentially onshore and offshore, with an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
- Investigate and understand trends in the latest cloud native, licensed and open-source data technology products & capabilities in the market
- Responsible for key strategic choices, design decisions, technology and vendor choices.
- Be responsible for the Architecture Road map, standards, and long-term vision, including overall technical direction and strategy across all architecture subject areas
- Collaborate with the other Architects, Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Network Services, Product functions and Commercial team members to ensure the right technology is delivered to meet their needs while meeting ambitious timelines
- Communicate, present and articulate sophisticated technical architecture proposals and solutions to s internal and external business and IT collaborators.
- Define, own, and communicate the collection of architecture critical metrics.
- Play a key role in driving the refactoring of current and target architectures to make it easier to enter new territories
- Provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle from inception to completion of an implementation.
- Identify key areas of technical risk or complexity, proposing appropriate Proofs of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Technologies (POTs) to gain objective evidence to influence the end architectural designs.
- Lead Practice activities to support the build and development of assets and accelerators
- Support with key technology vendor relationships
What you will bring...
- Experience in a lead Solutions Architect role
- Experience of developing an architecture strategy
- Knowledge and practice in designing Technical, DevOps, Cloud, Software, and Data architectures for enterprise products. Experience in development of distributed systems using the Cloud, big data, data analytics and Machine Learning tools/technologies
- Evidence of delivering transformational technology and enterprise-wide architectural change at pace, balancing the need to plan and deliver for the long term while addressing immediate architectural integrity
- Understanding of cloud native architectural patterns, API based microservices architecture, data lake patterns and containerisation technologies including container orchestration.
- Knowledge of at least one of the cloud hosting platforms – AWS / Azure /GCP. Multi Cloud knowledge will be a definite advantage.
- Expertise in event driven architecture and distributed streaming platforms like Kafka / Pulsar Stream Native, Azure Event Hubs, AWS Event Bridge, AWS Kinesis etc.
- Excellent working knowledge on API Gateway platforms like APIGEE / MuleSoft/ AWS API Gateway / Azure API Gateway
- Experience in building API products and proxies
- Good experience in REST and GraphQL
- Experience in OAuth and OpenId based Authentication implementation using API gateway orchestration.
- Must have one of Java/.NET/Python/Scala development experience
- Experience in DevOps and DataOps CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, AWS Developer Tools, GCP Cloud Build, Jenkins, Jira.
- Designing logical and physical data models for SQL (Oracle/MySQL/PostGreSQL/SQL Server etc) and also NoSQL data stores such as CosmosDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB etc
- Experience in Observability solutions and capabilities using logging and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Data Dog, Grafana, SolarWinds and Cloud natives such as Azure Log Analytics / Monitor, AWS Cloud Watch and GCP Cloud Monitor
- Good knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards (e.g. GDPR)
- Excellent communication skills and excellence at problem solving, with an understanding of both software and operational issues
- Knowledge on one of Angular/ React / Vue UI frameworks
