Job description
As a Solution Architect your role will:
- Maintain, design, build and extend our Wob.com website
- Develop the backend of the Wob.com website and it’s integration with the e-commerce engine
- Integrate with the backend APIs of the website to develop the right customer experience on the frontend
- Develop the frontend architecture of the Wob.com website
- Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile phones
- Fix bugs before production release
- Identify potential issues, bottlenecks
- Enabling the business to reach its full potential through the website
- Make recommendations on how to improve our website, including features and customer experience
- Ensure that engineering best practices are in place on the project
- Work in the Wob.com Product Team with a Product Manager, a designer and fellow engineers, including QA
- Work with the engineers from other teams of the Wob engineering organization to improve our ways of working and share the knowledge we all have
- Ensure quality and performance of the application to specifications.
- Extensive experience in Java EE development, including working with the Spring ecosystem
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proven experience in working with one of the leading javascript frameworks like (preferably) vue.js, Angular or react
- Significant experience with database technology such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
- Proficient in git version control
- Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
- Experience with high quality continuous integration pipelines
- Have top-notch teamwork and communication skills.
- To be able to manage your workload with minimal supervision

Established in 2013, to buy unwanted books, CD’s DVD’s, Blu-ray and console games directly from consumers via its market leading app. The smart technology enables consumers to use their mobile device to scan a product bar code or to simply tap in an ISBN code from a book for an instant valuation.
Ziffit sells all its books, CDs, DVDs and games via World of Books own website or partner websites such as Amazon and eBay.
