VisualSoft are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our expanding team responsible for the design, development, and support of our range of desktop applications. Our software suite is used through a sequence of recording and logging, storage, editing, and visualisation. The data that we handle includes video and sensor data from a variety of sources.
Founded as a small start-up in 2000 VisualSoft has developed into a world leading software provider in the subsea survey and inspection industry and now forms part of the subsea division within Forum Energy Technologies’ global portfolio of energy related businesses. Over time our software has progressed using C#, .Net, various SDKs, graphics and video tools. We are looking for people with the skills and enthusiasm to help us continue and accelerate this progress.
The role is unique and challenging, creating a fantastic opportunity for a software tester to push themselves, advance their career and become a core member of a motivated team. You will communicate and work closely with the software team to ensure the high standards of deliverables. We are looking for someone to take control of the testing procedures and drive the testing process from a manual process to one that incorporates more automated testing.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership for design, implementation, and execution of manual and automated testing strategies and plans.
- Troubleshoot, analyse, document and report test results to the team.
- Continuously look to improve testing processes and tools.
- Ability to write software tests in C#. Scripting language knowledge would also be very useful.
- A good understanding of automation, continuous integration and DevOps principles and practices.
