The Zero Gravity Internship is back. After the success and energy of the launch of our summer internship programme last summer, Zero Gravity has got you covered for your summer 2023 internship needs.
The Details
- The internship will run for 4 weeks from 10th July - 11th August 2023.
- You will join us at Zero Gravity HQ in Central London, where you will be working full time with the Zero Gravity Team.
- You will be working directly with the Software Engineering Team to help build our codebase and core products, whilst also working with the wider Zero Gravity team for cross business exposure.
- We’ll provide you with free accommodation for your time in London, and the internship, and the internship will be fully paid. You’ll receive compensation of £265 per week for your work with Zero Gravity this summer, which we’ll pay on a weekly basis.
Zero Gravity has three main products:
- Our university mentoring platform which currently mentors over 5000 students annually into top universities.
- Our careers mentoring platform which mentors university students into jobs with top companies.
- Our schools tool, which connects UK schools directly into the Zero Gravity platform.
The technology has been built by a specialist in-house team of Software Engineers. The team has decades of experience across EdTech, SaaS and Finance. We haven’t skimped on code quality, the products are well built, we have over 80% test coverage across our code.
The Role
- We are looking to bring in a technically-minded, inquisitive Software Engineering Intern who will directly contribute to our codebase and core products.
- The role will suit a motivated individual who wants to have a massive impact on the future of a growing startup. You will grow and learn from experienced engineers and entrepreneurs. There is no red tape here, this opportunity has room to really make it your own.
- The Software Engineering Intern will work as part of the Zero Gravity tech team to build core features for Zero Gravity’s products.
- You will be fully integrated into the Tech Team and involved in cementing the technical foundations of Zero Gravity tech.
You could get involved in the following tasks:
- Helping to choose best in class solutions to keep our technical edge
- Sharing ideas and best practices that will make our products more effective
- Sharing in ownership of the code and systems as a whole
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a Zero Gravity member signed up as a mentor on the platform.
- You must be a student in your first, penultimate or final year at university in the UK.
- You must have familiarity with at least oneany programming language.
- You must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in Software Engineering.

Central London accommodation - We’ll put you up for 4 weeks in Central London whilst you are working at Zero Gravity HQ.
Zero Gravity social - You'll be invited to our team social, where we take our team out for dinner/drinks, completely on the house!
