Job description
Location: Our Head Office in Freshwater
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours a week)
We're a young brand, we love what we do and as a fast growth company there's always something new happening. For the best, there's opportunities to progress - nearly all of our management team are former apprentices or graduate trainees and our training is designed to create future leaders.
As a company we develop and deploy our own technologies into the online and manufacturing environment to make sustainability accessible and cool. Not many people know that tens of thousands of companies all over the world use our manufacturing tech to power their online stores, and we have one of the most advanced fashion factories in the world right here on the Isle of Wight.
We grow fast and people quickly progress, so we pick our team carefully. We are all focused and take what we do seriously, whilst considering ourselves the special forces of sustainable fashion. We work hard, but we like having fun too. On team days, going surfing is pretty much a whole-squad operation.
We're welcoming, friendly and we don't care if you've not got much experience. We'll challenge you to be your best, to step up, and we'll build your confidence by trusting you to take on big projects - sometimes they're things that have never been done before.
For the best, there's opportunities to progress - nearly all of our management team are former apprentices or graduate trainees and our training is designed to create future leaders.
Our coding apprenticeship programme takes people who love solving problems & who understand the basics of code, and turns them into professional web developers. Of our last 7 coding apprentices, 7 were offered jobs after the year-long training course.
Training is on-the-job: apprentices write code for real projects that make a real-life difference, whilst receiving high quality coaching from more experienced members of the team. However, to make a success of your apprenticeship, you'll need to supplement your training with reading and practice. There's a lot to learn in 1 year.
We operate a 9-5, Monday to Friday routine with paid holiday to help apprentices adapt to working life. Our headquarters, where apprentices are trained, is in Freshwater in a newly refurbished factory. All apprentices are given a free bus pass.
The requirements for this role are simple: you need to be good at problem solving and have a passion for code.
If this is you, we'd love to hear from you.
