Job description
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Quantum Chemistry team. You will work on the development of software solutions for InQuanto, our computational quantum chemistry framework for the simulation of molecules and materials on quantum computers, and on efficient implementations of new chemistry quantum algorithms developed at Quantinuum in combination with our algorithm researchers.
Responsibilities:
- The development of software solutions for our computational quantum chemistry framework
- Developing and maintaining software as a service and software as a product
- Programming in a variety of languages, mainly Python and C++.
- Customer support and providing guidance to more junior colleagues.
- Ensuring code quality through development of automated tests, participation in code reviews, writing documentations
- Adapting to new programming languages and frameworks as needed
- Working with others in the team to design key components of the system, collaborating with other teams to incorporate their solutions.
- Working within a highly dynamic, research-focused group with scientific direction from leading researchers
- Work proactively and independently to achieve clearly defined objectives.
Key Requirements
- Comfortable and experienced working on software with a team and writing code ideally in Python and C++ that can be understood by others.
