Job Title: Junior Developer
Department: IT Department
Reporting to: IT & Development Director
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5pm
Salary Range: £23,000 - £30,000 (To be determined based on experience)
Holiday Allowance: 21 days' holiday pro rata plus Bank Holidays

Your Role will Include.
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Full Stack Developer to join our team. As a Junior Full Stack Developer, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow while working on maintaining and developing our bespoke internal application, as well as implementing changes to our customer-facing applications. You will collaborate with experienced developers and utilize your skills in JavaScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, React, PHP, Laravel, and REST API creation and consumption to contribute to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and developing our bespoke internal application, under the guidance of senior developers, ensuring its functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with the development team to implement changes and enhancements to our customer-facing applications, following established coding standards and best practices.
- Contribute to upgrading web applications to modern standards, working closely with senior developers to implement new technologies and optimize performance.
- Support the extension of our enterprise applications via scripting, assisting in the integration of additional functionality and improving overall efficiency.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to gather requirements, participate in the design process, and contribute to the implementation of features that enhance the UI/UX and functionality of our internal tools.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting bugs and other technical issues, working with senior developers to provide timely resolutions and ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance activities, following established procedures to validate the functionality and usability of developed applications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in full stack development, actively learning and applying new knowledge in your work.
About You
To be considered as a Junior Developer, you will need experience in:
- Some experience or knowledge in Full Stack Development, with a focus on JavaScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, React, PHP, Laravel, and REST API creation and consumption.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks and methodologies, with a willingness to learn and expand your skills.
- Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus and will be beneficial for this role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and improving your development capabilities.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code and user experiences.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles and a desire to contribute to the improvement of visual appeal and usability.
- Ability to work under guidance, manage tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
