Embedded C / C++ Software Engineer : Onsite, Bristol required for long term contract role

Overview of department:
We are a world leader in missile and missile systems looking for a highly capable and adaptable to join our Development Facility in Bristol.
You will be responsible for developing the real-time systems application software for the next generation of Missile Systems. This is a technical hands-on role and will involve designing, implementing and testing the embedded software for the missile products.

Responsibilities:What we are looking for:
1. Demonstrable experience of hard real time software development
2. Strong C / C++ Programming
3. Ability to develop, test and integrate low level software drivers
4. Generating and executing software test harness's
5. Good problem-solving capability to investigate software/hardware issues
6. Experience working on controlled Software environment
7. Experience working in a lab environment running embedded software
8. Use of configuration control tools such as RTC

Additional useful skills include:
1. Strong UML knowledge (ideally using Rhapsody)
2. Experience of working with the Texas Instrument (TI) TDA4 family of devices.
3. Experience of working with Python
4. Competent with MS word, for reviewing and updating technical documentation.
