The Bristol team are a key part of the Global HPE Storage business. We work across multiple areas of technology, creating cutting-edge software products and redefining state of the art in what cloud computing means.

Our Software Engineers love what they do. They relish problem solving and seeking out innovative solutions to a wide variety of problems. Our Engineers are great Software Developers, we don’t like doing things twice, we like to ensure we get it right the first time and automate where possible.

We are currently in a search for Cloud Software Engineer to work on building next generation cloud services for HPE storage products. You’ll be working on some incredibly exciting tech, taking responsibility for design, development, troubleshooting, programming, and integration of some of HPE’s cutting-edge products.

Responsibilities:

• Work with product managers and owners to define and drive the next generation of intelligent data storage products and solutions.
• Build solutions that manage the data across public and hybrid cloud environments.
• Optimize cost and performance of HPE Storage software offering in public/hybrid cloud environments.
• Design and develop solutions that protect and manage cloud native apps and data.
• Develop tools to simulate and test large scale customer deployments in public and hybrid cloud environments.
• Share and review your innovative technical ideas with peers, high level technical contributors, and managers.

What you’ll bring…

• Passion for technology, with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Eager, quick learner with strong team work spirit.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience with structured programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Go and Java. Our microservices are built using Go and Python, so experience here would be real plus.
• Our user interfaces are developed using Typescript, React and Stencil. While it is not required, any experience in relevant front end technologies and frameworks is a bonus.

Education and Experience Required:

• Strong Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Typically, 3 + years experience in software engineering
• Ideally, 1+ years’ experience developing SaaS based applications within AWS/Azure / GCP or other public cloud technologies would be desirable.
