Staff Software Engineer

A leading Retail company with over 10 million visitors to their website is looking to expand its team. This company has a large engineering team who needs skilled developers to positively disturb their current projects and help implement new ways of conducting software best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 50% Hands-on and 50% Hands off work
• Work closely with the Head of Engineering to set and achieve strategic goals for the department.
• Evaluate and make important technical decisions to drive development processes effectively.
• Plan and support the professional growth of engineering teams through training and mentoring.
• Act as a coach and mentor to engineers at all levels, guiding them to excel in their roles.
• Collaborate with peers from different areas to promote knowledge-sharing and reusability of solutions.
• Play an active role in recruiting top talent and enhancing the engineering team's capabilities.

Skills/Experience

• Strong Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, AWS and JavaScript
• Experience Leading a team and mentoring juniors.
• Exposure to AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience working in agile environments.
