What is the job role?
We are searching for a Software Engineer to join our team at Gael Force Group.
In the role, you will have the ability to choose the way in which you work; fully from home with visits to the office (by Line Manager request), fully from our Inverness office, or an arrangement mixing the best of both.
What were looking for:
The Software Engineer post will be part of the Software Development Team, within the Software and Digital Technology Department. You will work closely with other developers to contribute to areas of design, development, testing and maintenance of aspects of our next generation software suite. You will have responsibility for the initial support of software in deployment and work to resolve issues experienced by both clients and Gael Force Engineers. As required, you will assist in maintenance and issue resolution of in-house software.
Tasks include:
- Work closely with other developers to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our in-house software.
- Work on both front-end and back-end tasks.
- Receive feedback from other departments who use our software.
- Develop software based on the company's needs in every-day activities.
What youll need:
Essential
- Win32 Development
- Web API, RESTful web services
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery
- UI/UX design
- Angular / React Frameworks
- SQL
- GIT
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Object-Oriented Design
- C#/C++
Desirable
- API Development
- Understanding of Lean Agile principles
- NodeJS
- 5+ years of experience in commercial development
- An understanding of Continual Integration/Continual Development methodologies along with Azure DevOps
- Strong client communication skills
- Problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation and creativity
