Job title: Software Engineer

Location: Warton

Salary: £39,316 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, mainly focused on coding and testing with the opportunity to progress into design and deployment

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, continually enhancing your skills

Your skills and experiences:

• A degree in a STEM subject or alternatively experience writing code in a professional development team

• Experience of software development in one or more of the following programming languages: JAVA, C/C++, C#

• Experience in using an IDE (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio) and software life cycle tools such as Git and Jira

• Knowledge of software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices

The Engineering Systems Competency Centre Team:
