General Description
AJS Control and Automation provides turnkey services to the food and beverage industry and a wide range of FMCG manufacturers. From concept to completion we handle the whole process in-house. Project Engineering, control panel design and build, software development followed by site installation and commissioning are key parts of our team.
The role of the Software Engineers is to develop bespoke software code for the whole range of AJS projects. The role is responsible for understanding the logic required to control the clients' applications. AJS Software Engineers are able to follow the full life cycle of a project, from conception to hand over.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Have a good understanding of machine, process, and line control logic.- Have practical skills and understanding of equipment functionality.
- Able to understand Client requirements from a URS
- Able to produce and FDS and HMI/GUI proposals.
- Produce PLC code and HMI pages using TIA and RS5000
- Able to understand functional safety and produce code for failsafe applications
- Production of site commissioning plan.
- Site attendance for commissioning and support for projects.
- Occasional out of hours remote support as required.
- Help with research and development projects as required.

HNC/HND Engineering or equivalent experience.

Functional Safety Qualification FS Tech or Similar.
