Ramboll invite you to apply for a Software Engineering Apprenticeship in our RTR Automation team based in Southampton, assisting the team in delivering a wide range of projects. You will be provided full support to achieve a Level 6 degree qualification, typically on a day release basis, and create a solid foundation for a successful and satisfying career.

You will study the apprenticeship course Digital and Technology Solutions (Software Engineer) The duration of this apprenticeship is typically 6 years (depending on experience). The cost of the apprenticeship is paid by Ramboll through the apprenticeship Levy.

Apprenticeship Course Delivery
Ramboll are intending to deliver the apprenticeship with Winchester University. You would typically work for 4 days a week within your job delivery role and study 1 day per week on day release. You will be required to complete an End Point Assessment where you will need to demonstrate that during the apprenticeship you have learnt the required knowledge, skills and behaviours.

You will join our Automation department
As our new Digital Apprentice, you will work as part of a dedicated team of software and civil engineering specialists, creating digital solutions on a wide range of projects, from a new port in Italy to the British Antarctic Survey.
As part of the apprenticeship, you will develop your learning via either this software engineering course or a civil engineering course. We are also open to exploring different courses based on your interests.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Contribute to digital delivery across our portfolio of transport projects
- Develop new digital solutions in a civil engineering context across our Transport team
- Work with our existing tools, processes and workflows
- Adopt a fail-fast approach to discussing and trialling new technologies
- Liaise with the wider Transport team on future ideas, managing internal client relationships
- Participate in designing, developing, and testing software applications, working closely with cross-functional teams
