We're looking for Software Development Engineer Interns to join us from April 2024 onwards for 6-12 months

Our Software Developer Interns are an integral part of our UK teams and the Amadeus family. They’re assigned to run critical tech projects that are rolled out internally or for customers (some of the world’s most recognized airlines and airports).
Whatever the project or team you join, you’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive group where you can learn from some of the best minds in the industry. You’ll learn new technologies and implement your ideas to produce tools and solutions that directly impact our business operations.
Here are a few examples of the advanced functional and technology challenges that you could assist our R&D teams at Heathrow to tackle:
Standalone projects for some of the world’s best-known airlines
Supporting the airport digitalization
Moving to the Cloud
As an intern you’ll contribute to:
Analyzing customer needs to create new software(s) or to improve existing one(s)
Run feasibility studies and design software technology(ies)
Develop software(s) by following Amadeus standards and quality guidelines
Present your solutions to various stakeholders, including Product Managers & users to get feedback
Run unit and performance tests to ensure reliability
Go through the validation phases to ensure our software works for other people
Fine-tune our software(s) as a result of all tests
Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issuing it to the requesting departments
About the ideal candidate:
You’re pursuing Bachelor/Master’s degree studies in Computer Science or related technical field or a degree from one of the other STEM topics
You’re fluent in English
You’ll ideally have basic knowledge of software development
You’ve studied or experimented with C, C++ and/or Java, J2EE languages
You’ve heard of or worked with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java/Swing or AngularJS
You’ve heard of or worked with RDBMS/SQL (Oracle preferred), NoSQL (MongoDB, Hadoop database), Standard Template Library and Unix/Linux
You can easily adapt to the constant evolution of the software technologies
You’ll have the willingness to learn, share your ideas, and improve yourself every day

This is a University Placement and must form part of your degree. We’re unable to hire students that have already graduated.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom. We will not be able to provide sponsorship to those requiring a visa.
At the end of your placement, based on your performance, you will have the opportunity to be considered for a graduate position through our fast-track process.
Duration: 6 or 12-month internships available.
