ABOUT THE ROLE
Gravitee.io is taking APIs to the next level — we are the premier, open-source API platform and we want everyone to know how amazing our software is. As a Software Development Engineer in Test you will be a key member of the Engineering team ensuring we always deliver consistent high quality and robust product releases. We want passionate testing advocates who really understand the value of test automation and champion shifting testing left at every opportunity.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Your daily to-do list will feature some or all of the following, but is not limited to:
● Working in feature driven Agile Scrum teams 2 weekly sprints) alongside
Developers, QAs, POs, Scrum Masters and Architects
● Writing and maintaining automated tests to support testing across all layers of the defined Gravitee Quality Pyramid
● Confidently estimate and own test automation backlog and work productively deliver to a committed timeline with minimum supervision while showing excellent team attitude
● Proactively ensuring all automated tests are added into agreed CI pipelines to ensure repeatable and consistent automated tests pass the set quality gateways for release
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
The right candidate will possess at least the following skills, if not more:
● 5 years experience working hands on as a SDET
● Solid experience creating and maintaining automated tests using Jest JS andCypress
● Demonstrated skills in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews
● Confident tackling technical challenges head on e.g. complex automated test scenarios, flakey automated tests, test environment issues etc.
● Mentoring and guiding other QA's on how to write automated tests
● All other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £55,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
