We are currently recruiting for a Software Development Manager vacancy. This is a fixed term contract role for a period of 6 months.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The software development manager is responsible for the direct line management of software team leaders, and the effective management and success of the software development teams that report to those team leaders. The key activities include coordinating, prioritising, and the planning of HDS Software features with the teams and the QA and BA managers and reporting the progress and status of those items and releases to the Director of Solutions. The Software Development Manager helps provide the teams with relevant tools, a positive and constructive working environment, personal support, guidance, and recognition for accomplishments

- Provides line management duties of software team leaders
- Plans and coordinate software releases with other managers and the roadmap owners, based upon the feature estimates from the teams.
- Provide developers with equipment, tools, and a safe positive working environment.
- Conflict resolution
- Provide technical guidance and a different perspective for decision making when required.
- Provide updates to senior management regarding the progression and status of features and releases.
- Attend meetings and represent different products and work streams positively to external stakeholders
- Listen to the needs of other stakeholders and represent them positively and professionally with the development teams.
Education Degree
Required Experience
- Must have experience of managing at least one team of developers
- Must have proven experience of working constructively with other stakeholders and development teams
- Experience of successfully managing a complex project with multiple components.
- Must have a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Must be a good communicator
- Bachelors Degree
