Software Developer

Job title: Software Developer
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: Up to £60,000
Reporting to: Development Manager
Location: London, Docklands (flexibility on days needed to work in the office)
We are currently looking for two developers to join our team here. Ideally, your working experience will include Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SharePoint.
As a developer you will work in the development team, working with other members of the team to deliver our clients’ expectations.
We’re running an increasing number of applications and as a developer you’ll be coding and updating them. You’ll mainly be developing – writing the code for new and existing systems, working hand in hand with our testers, architects, and business analysts to ensure the team succeed together.
You’ll develop in manner that ensures the performance, reliability, and quality of the applications.
Key responsibilities
- developing across a range of technologies
- working with SharePoint or Dynamics 365, as well as Azure functions, Azure DevOps to manage source code, covering the applications’ lifecycle
- agreeing and recording the appropriate hours and story points of development time – making sure you deliver on expectations for how long testing will take
- working with the wider IT team of developers, architects, administrators and the team leader to address daily issues
- working with our agreed technical processes for delivering changes and fixing issues
- taking responsibility for delivering on your individual and team objectives in line with our values
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities. You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria:
Minimum criteria
- must have working experience of either Dynamics 365 or in implementation and delivery of SharePoint solutions – SharePoint online
- experience in automation and the power platform, using Power Apps, Power automates and Power BI
- having knowledge of SQL Azure and Azure functions, Microsoft Entity Framework
- experience of developing both canvas and model driven apps
- development experience in C# or .NET development
- Create a technical design, configure common data service, and configure Power Apps
- Develop integrations, configure business process automation and user experience
- Extending the platform
- working in an agile development environment – using scrum/ Kanban methodologies
- having experience of continuous integration
- being able to provide estimates against organisational requirements relating to cost and development tasks
Desirable experience includes…
- having knowledge of AZURE DevOps, NServiceBus and Microsoft Entity Framework
- working in an agile development environment – using scrum/ Kanban methodologies
- having experience of test-driven development would be desirable - relevant ideas and frameworks would include Nunit, MSTest and Specflow
- having knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
