Equans is looking for a Soft Services Manager to join our team in Sizewell on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package.
The Soft Services Manager will have the responsibility for supporting the operational, financial, and commercial remit of the EDF contract. Thes operational duties consist of management of industrial, Domestic, Sub contractors, and co-ordination of additional agency staff in support of station statutory outage periods. In addition, ensuring that the contract delivers Equans performance in line with EDF client requirements, specific site performance objectives, financial budgets, demonstrating a proactive and responsive service to the client.
The Soft Service Manager will be an effective member of the Equans site leadership team, focusing on customer care with a ` Can do attitude having the flexibility and adaptability to work within the team in an ever-changing business environment.
You will be client focused, accountable and to ensure that safety is at the forefront of all everyday activity.
What will you deliver?
- Responsible for resource allocation and cost control of Soft Services Budget.
- To be able to follow written instructions in a methodical manner.
- Line management of supervisors for domestic, industrial cleaning, radworkers and waste -co-ordination.
- 100% compliance of contract specification and any associated contract KPI`s to include any monthly reporting and performance measurement.
- Management of absence and holidays for all staff to include investigations and disciplinaries.
- Cost control of extra client instructed work that is funded through Contract Instruction.
- Comply with all relevant H&S regulations.
- Support statutory and unplanned outages with additional hours as required, and to support in delivery in duties that may sit outside your role.
- Demonstrate a methodical approach to tasks and plan accordingly in order to deliver expected output.
- Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards.

Who are we looking for?
- Experience of managing FM services at a management level within an industrial environment.
- Experience of working with contractors, and management of contracts.
- Good written and communication skills, competent in use of word, Excel & Power Point.
- IOSH
- Good financial acumen with the ability to analyse data / documentation with accuracy.
- Capable of influencing within cross functional teams.
- Effective and decisive organisational skills with experience inn introducing new ideas and approaches to benefit the contract.
- Experience of developing operational teams, focused on service delivery.
- Understanding of H&S , Environment and QA procedures.
- Ability to understand and support in the management of budgets.
This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
