Job Title: Soft Furnishings and Interior Design Assistant
Job Description:
We are a growing family business in the soft furnishings and interior design industry, and we are looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented individual to join our team. As a Soft Furnishings and Interior Design Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, managing administrative tasks, and coordinating the delivery of goods. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment, with the potential for further growth within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting clients in selecting and purchasing soft furnishings and interior design products
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge and offer expert advice on design options, colors, textures, and style.
- Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and maintaining detailed sales records
- Assist in managing inventory, restocking products, and maintaining a well-organized store environment
- Handle various administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing appointment schedules
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure prompt and precise delivery of goods to clients
- Contribute to visual merchandising efforts, ensuring the showroom is visually appealing and showcases the latest products and trends
- Collaborate with the design team to stay updated on new products, industry trends, and design concepts
Requirements:
- Previous experience in soft furnishings preferred , must have interest in interiors and fabrics.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items during deliveries and restocking
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with basic administrative duties
- Flexibility to work on weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings as per business needs
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting salary: £24,960
- Bonus scheme based on performance and sales targets
- 4.5 weeks of annual leave
