Are you motivated to train to become a registered social worker?
Norfolk County Council is excited to offer social work apprenticeship posts starting in January 2024. To find out more about the apprenticeship programme, please click here . The posts will be based across the county in a range of locations.
Entry criteria
To be eligible for the social work apprenticeship programme you will need:
- At least two years full time (or equivalent) direct experience of working with children and families or adults with care and support needs
- Level 3 qualifications that are equivalent to 96 UCAS points (e.g. 3 A Levels at grade C or equivalent including BTEC, NVQ, Access to HE), or any higher level qualification.
- GCSEs in English or English Language and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above, or an approved equivalent such as functional skills level 2.
- A full driving licence and use of a vehicle - or confirm that you'll be able to travel for work if you do not have a vehicle.

- A document outlining your relevant experience, including current job role and all your relevant qualifications including subjects and grades with you application
- Copies all of your relevant qualification certificates including maths and English GCSE or equivalent and any level 3 or higher qualifications

Information session
We will be running an online information session about the Social Work Apprenticeship on Friday 24 th March 2023 from 2:00 to 3:30pm. Please email [email protected] to book a place.
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete an online written assessment in the fortnight beginning 22 nd May 2023 and invited to an in-person selection event in Norwich on either 7 th , 8 th , 28 th or 29 th June 2023.
