A Supervising Social Worker required to join a fantastic independent fostering service in Yorkshire, supporting young people and providing service to those involved in adoption and within the fostering system.
Overview:
- Title: Supervising Social Worker
- Salary: Up to £38,000
- Location: Yorkshire- Home base but locations include Oldham Batley Huddersfield Bradford and Leeds
- Hours: Full time

The role:
What you will be doing as a Supervising Social Worker
- Support and supervision of foster carers.
- Recruit, assess and monitor the suitability and competence o f foster carers.
- Find long or short-term fostering placements for children who come into care.
- Find permanent new families for children who can't go home for whatever reason.
- To provide support, counselling, and therapeutic interventions to adoptive families.
- To assist the foster carer in their task of providing care to a child in care.
- Achieve the best outcomes for our children and families and to sustain them in their communities.
- Undertaking statutory duties in accordance with National Fostering Standards and Regulations
- Have a good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
The successful candidate:
What you will need to be a successful Supervising Social Worker
- HCPC registered
- 2 years fostering and or adoption experience
- Ablility to be flexible as working practises can include occasional evening and weekend work.
- UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle
- Social work degree or an equivalent qualification
