Job description
Adult Social Care Officer
Hybrid Working – West Midlands Based
Duration: 3-month contract with likely extensions
Rate: Negotiable rate available (Inside IR35)
Our client is looking for someone who is experienced with working with customers in the community, has good social/social work skills, and attributes to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people in the borough.
You will be working in a friendly environment with a skilled, diverse and supportive team. You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and knowledge and awareness of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS/LPS.
Responsibilities/expectations of the role:
- You will be expected to work with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, Learning Disability, physical disability, complex needs, older people and their carer’s
- You will need to be confident carrying out outcome-focused assessments, with support planning, to meet their care and support needs
- You must be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and with our partner agencies to deliver the best outcomes for our customers
- You will be given an induction, appropriate training opportunities and regular supervision with an experienced manager
Essential requirements:
- An enhanced Adults DBS is required for this post
- Candidates must possess GCSE English and Maths qualifications, or equivalent qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role
