Our experienced Early Help teams are based at our Children's Centre venues in the Perry Barr and Sutton Coldfield districts of Birmingham and we also provide outreach services in local community venues.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Early Help Family Support Workers play a crucial role in supporting children and families to navigate life’s challenges, fostering positive changes and promoting healthier, happier family units.
Early Help Family Support Workers have a long lasting impact on children, families and communities, contributing to the overall well-being of society. This is an exciting opportunity to join the teams at Lime Tree and Holland House Children’s Centre where you will work across the district with families of children and young people under 19 years old including pre-birth, to provide Early Help interventions to meet the identified needs of families facing a range of challenges.
This work will include 1- 1 case work, family support and group work that will be carried out within the children’s centres, family home and community based settings.
This is a Fixed Term Role until 31/03/2025.

Most importantly, we want someone who is dedicated to helping others, empathetic and approachable and who shares our values. You are a compassionate, fair & committed professional who has demonstratable knowledge and experience of working within the family support sector.
As an excellent team player, you are resourceful and proactive, articulate and adaptable and you are persistent in the pursuit of quality driven results. Your personable nature, excellent listening skills and ambition brings out the best in yourself and others. You will hold a NVQ level 3 in Early Years Childcare and Development, a clean driver’s licence and access to a car for work.
You will have experience of undertaking Early Help assessments and Family Plan reviews, multi-agency partnership working, identifying & reporting safeguarding concerns and delivering family support interventions in a range of settings including the family home.
