The Role:
The post-holder will provide professional leadership, advice, guidance and development for social work and social care across the department to ensure that the highest standard of social work practice is imbedded across the organisation, in accordance with the Council’s values and help deliver the ASC six priorities.
The PSW is part of the Safeguarding and Workforce Development Team, which is led by Louis Butler, Head of Service. The PSW will also work closely with the Director, and service managers to and embed best professional practice throughout the Department. The PSW will contribute to the strategic leadership of services and develop and implement standards to ensure a cohesive and high performing social work workforce which embraces cultural change and improved quality and standards of practice.

About You:
Provide skilled and experienced leadership and practice knowledge to social workers and social care practitioners, to enable the Council to meet its vision which is to ensure that people living in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea are enabled to be have the best possible quality of life and are able to live as live independently in their communities for as long as possible.
You’ll take a leadership role for practice and manage the ASC Learning and Development Team. The role also includes strategic leadership of services and develop and implement standards to ensure a cohesive and high performing social work workforce.
