We are seeking experienced Social Workers to join the Child Care Assessment Team within the Social Services directorate.


Safeguarding and Child Protection are key priorities for Pembrokeshire's Children's Service. The Childcare Assessment team safeguards and promotes the welfare of the children and young people in Pembrokeshire. The team handles all safeguarding and welfare referrals and gives guidance to the public and professionals who work with children. The aim is always to support vulnerable children and young people to ensure they are as safe as they can possibly be.


Joining the team would provide many opportunities to bring new ideas, develop in different ways professionally, and to contribute directly to the work to promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflection and learning.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Professional Registration - successful applicants will be required to be registered as a social worker with Social Care Wales prior to taking up their post and to be able to provide evidence of this.

This post is subject to a DBS disclosure check.
