JOB DESCRIPTION
The opportunity has come up to support a lovely young lady in Allanton, Nr Duns, who is 11 years
old, with her morning and evening routine. She is quadriplegic and has significant respiratory health
needs. Mum and Dad can give more in-depth information to any successful applicants
THE JOB
- To fully support in all aspects of complex care for her morning & evening routine this
includes (evening bath/shower)
- To have the ability to follow medical routines
- To follow all instructions given by mum and if unsure of anything to ask/check
- Administer medication as directed by mum
- To adhere to confidentiality at all times and to be respectful within the home
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Cheerful, positive, chatty individual
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise
- You must be honest, trustworthy and reliable
- You must be a good communicator with client and supportive family (if required)
- You must be patient and sensitive to their needs.
- Knowledge of moving and handling an advantage but not essential
- PVG certificate or willingness to obtain
HOURS OF WORK
- Morning’s 6.30-8.30/9am (1.5/2hours) Tea time 5-7pm (2hours)
- Tuesdays – Tea
- Wednesday –am & Tea
- Thursdays – am & Tea
- Fridays - am & tea
RATE OF PAY
£11.50 p/h
There is no mileage allowance with this employment
Post subject to successful checks and on a probationary period
Mobile phone usage should be kept to emergency calls only
