Hours: 37 hours per week flexible working
Salary: £33820 - £34723
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

About this opportunity
Would you like to work in a specialist team for people with a learning disability people with autism and those in transition to adulthood?
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motived social worker to join the Learning Disability Autism and Transition Social Work Team in Westmorland and Furness. We are a lively creative and supportive team working with adults who have a learning disability and/or autism. We also work with young people who are in transition from Children's Services into adulthood.
We welcome applications from experienced and qualified social work practitioners looking to develop their career in this field. Experience of working with this group of people is not necessary we will support with training needs and we value commitment enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and develop as much as knowledge and experience. The successful applicant will be working as a part of our friendly and supportive team offering great professional benefits with the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills that will enhance the lives of the people we support.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the principles of The Care Act 2014 and will be skilled in undertaking strength-based creative and inclusive assessments as well as support planning and the effective management of a mixed complexity case load.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults.
