SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING CO-ORDINATOR - MATERNITY COVER PART-TIME
John Julian is a pottery workshop and online retailer selling high-end ceramic kitchenware, tableware and servewareall hand made in the UK by skilled makers.
Our ceramics are sold via our website and by hand-picked retailers around the world. Our pieces can also be found in restaurants and hotels. Loved by our customers, every piece we make, whether it is a plate, bowl or pestle and mortar, is shaped from raw clay with care and craftsmanship and are designed to last a lifetime.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We have a wonderful opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic Socia Media/Marketing Co-ordinator who is passionate about brand communication and helping to grow a small independent creative brand to join our team. The role is predominantly Social Media focused, with some marketing duties.
Reporting to the Business Manager and Owner, and working alongside Business Development, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing our Social Media strategy, including managing the calendar, delivering day-today content, developing relationships with influencers, helping to manage our website and communicating with our customers.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a creative vision who has a passion for communicating with audiences and getting customers excited about our pieces. Ideally you will have an interest and appreciation for all things interior décor and homeware. You will need to be a self-starter who is able to work on your own initiative whilst working collaboratively with the team.
You will be working with a small and friendly team. We will consider remote working for the right candidate, with visits to our workshop and studio periodically, based in Burcombe, Salisbury.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and schedule social media content for John Julian each week, ensure tone of voice and imagery is on brand.
- Be reactive to our followers and feedback to the team.
- Work with the team to understand products and activities to help your planning and scheduling, this includes scheduling posts alongside campaigns.
- Manage imagery/photography needed for social media, from use of existing to taking or requesting new imagery.
- Gain an understanding and track competitor activities.
- Maintain and develop relationships with our trade clients via social media platforms.
- Support the team in website, email marketing and press activities as and when needed.
The role is a part-time maternity cover for approx 16-20 hours per month.
Hourly rate tbc dependent on experience.
Start date: End of May/beginning of June.
