Available Job Today Do you know social media inside-out? Are you passionate about gaming/ sports/ esports? Are you good at developing and publishing engaging content that will work on different platforms? An opportunity has arisen for a social media manager to work with our gaming and Esports clients. We are looking for someone who knows social media platforms inside out - and also knows what’s coming next in these areas


The successful candidate will formulate digital strategies and oversee their implementation from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. Twitch and Discord, to paid search and beyond.


This role requires an in-depth understanding of how our gaming clients can best use social media and content to drive their individual KPIs - whether it be brand awareness or increasing participation. You will need a combination of intense social media knowledge, awareness of how to drive online engagement, and attention to detail and responsiveness.


It’s essential that the successful candidate has a broad knowledge of the digital media market and implements activations ranging from engagement, participation, subscription conversion and retail sales.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan social content and maintaining the content calendar ensuring social media content is regular, relevant and engaging
  • Maintain a high degree of expertise within the esports market, sharing knowledge & experience across the wider group business, to enhance our premium esports brands worldwide
  • Publish content and work with partners to look for cross-posting opportunities
  • Engage with fans and followers to build relationships with the community and encourage engagement
  • Build relationships with customers, industry professionals and journalists
  • Contribute to creative ideas for video content as part of output strategy
  • Monitor project KPIs, working closely with the insights team
  • Monitor the success of the community and of social media in terms of the overall marketing strategy
  • Ongoing awareness and interest in trends across social media, digital publishing, online video and sports output internationally


Key skills and knowledge:

  • Excellent in-depth understanding of all relevant social media platforms - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok & Discord (Essential)
  • Strong understanding of gaming and Esports
  • Strong knowledge and experience of digital publishing software and techniques.
  • Strong copywriting skills including excellent spelling and grammar, as well as writing techniques to capture particular audiences
  • Ongoing awareness and interest in trends across social media, digital publishing, online video and sports output internationally
  • Experience of social media strategy, KPIs and goals to increase a digital audience and engagement
  • Excellent communication skills, including client-facing experience
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
  • Experience working in the sports industry during this time is preferable, but not essential

  • Work flexible days, according to the appropriate sports-related calendar (some evening and weekend work may be required)
  • Able to perform under pressure and to work to tight timescales
  • Be a good communicator with strong relationship management skills
  • Salary dependent on experience
